East Wall Scenery
Gonna start the pictures looking at the southeast corner
.
The track leading to the "underground" storage tracks needed a quick cover so I used a concrete form cut open and screwed to the frame work.
A look at the southeast corner
Same view but up on a ladder
On a ladder in the northeast corner looking south. You can see half the concrete form is covered and the upper track to the peninsula where it ends for now.
Pulled back a little more so the top of the entrance to the tunnel that feeds the storage tracks and the lower feed to the peninsula.
Looking north along the east wall.
The Rock tunnel entrance for the lower track feeding the peninsula.
Broader picture of the north entrance tunnel to the storage tracks and lower feed to the peninsula
Scenery along the east wall
More east wall scenery
Even more east wall scenery
And still more scenery along the east wall. Where the tracks turn to the left at the top of the picture you can see white. That's the northeast corner that gets worked on next.
I really like this method. I have friends that use the traditional method of chicken wire. This cost a bit more but is so flexible without using gloves and bleeding from hands stabbed with sharp wire. It very easy to change an area by cutting it out or gluing on more shim stock. In the upper right corner of this picture I've started to add the plaster cloth.

Area covered with plaster cloth
Starting to apply the rock face. I'm using Bragdon rubber molds and a few Woodland Scenics molds.
All the rocks cast onto the plaster cloth and my version of leopard spotting with acrylic paints
A couple water falls in the upper left part of the picture and log debris and cattails in the river bottom.
Starting to add foam, grass, downed tree "stuff" and bushes and various trees
More scenery

Bridges back in place
Waterfalls viewed through the trestle bents
Mama with dinner for her cubs
My attempt at a wood trestle
A wide angle view of the northeast corner
A couple "Fun & Games" guys from my friend Allan Pollock
A "high" elevation shot of the corner.
Moving on, go up one page and select the North Wall Scenery to continue progress.
