7/8ths Freight Trucks

Trucks come assembled except the journal lids. They are not painted or weathered. That feature up to the customer.

Sideframes are laser cut steel. Bolster and spring planks are laser cut basswood. Bolster pivot plate and journal box lids are white metal castings from my brass masters. Wheels are steel and are 20" diameter in 7/8ths scale. Journal boxes are die cast zinc with ball bearings pressed into the back side.

From left, front, back with factory cast hole, reamed to 1/4" and ball bearing pressed into hole.

They come with all mounting hardware which includes 8/32 machine screws, car body bolster pivot fender washer, spring, nylon truck bolster pivot washer and 8/32 insert to screw into your cars body bolster. 8 journal box lids with misc. extra hardware. All assembly screws are stainless steel.

7/8ths Passenger Trucks

Trucks come fully assembled and feature laser cut steel frames, spring bars and bottom plates. Leaf spring assembly is 3D printed PA12 plastic for strength. Pivot plate, fake swing motion hardware, pedestals, spring cups and journal box lids are white castings from my brass masters. All assembly screws and nuts are stainless steel and brass. The come with 2 sets of coil springs. One set will support 3-4 lbs of weight and the second will support 5-6 lbs of weight. As with the freight trucks, the journal boxes have ball bearings in them making the trucks very free rolling.
